Resignation, new truck & full excitement
These are both of our happy faces! I resigned from my job this morning (& took this sneaky photo from my desk) and Matt received his truck this afternoon - it's a good day!!
A long time coming and with many of you having to hear the dramas along the way and know NOT to ask Matt about the truck as it results in his face looking as if the world has ended.
But all of that is now changed and we couldn't be happier and more excited about the prospects ahead. Unfortunately at the moment we celebrate apart but I'll head up to Gold Coast next week to meet the Grinch and celebrate Matt's birthday (how can I beat the best birthday present he ever received?!). Any boy bday present ideas? Help!

D-Day fast approaching
It’s both an exciting time and daunting as tomorrow is the day that both I resign and Matt gets the Grinch! Now if I must reiterate, the Grinch is the lovingly named Aintree Green Land Rover Defender tray back that Matt so anxiously has been awaiting the arrival. And for me, the resignation has been longed after for probably longer than Matt wanted the Grinch.
So wait we do till tomorrow when I give the company the boot for overly underestimating the benefits of marketing. I’ll be the last member of a very strong 4 person crew – a decline that started in January 2012. I do have good memories of a team and particular individuals that strove hard along the way, but I won’t be sad to see the back of the company. Besides, I’ve got an adventure of immense pleasure ahead of me now!
My focus – ME and positive influences! Bring on the Grinch!

The Grinch is HERE!
Well, at least in the country.
It's been a long time coming, but not only is the Grinch (aka Land Rover Defender) in port at Brisbane, it is on a truck to Gold Coast for delivery!!

Stalked by crocodiles in India
Dreams do come and go in some association with our state in life but this morning, I’m hoping my future does not involve being stalked by crocodiles in India!I’m not sure why India since Australia definitely has its own share of the dangerous reptiles, but that is how the dream went. Matt was along for the canoe ride and we were venturing down a muddy river with stocks of supplies escorted by our Indian guides. It was when Matt decided that he needed to move from one end of the canoe to the other and check the supplies in the process that the boat was extremely unsteady and I started to raise my voice (certainly an occurrence I expect on this trip more than once).
Then the crocodile reared it's head and chomped down on the end of the boat I was on!!! Yikes, wake up, wake up!

Where is the Grinch?
It might be Christmas time but someone is still grumpy that they are not getting their brand new toy in time for Santa to stuff it down the non-existent chimney – just another reason there’s no way of getting around to naming the new truck, Grinch - it's Aintree Green (Land Rover colour) and Matt hates Christmas time (but I reckon there's a little bit in him that can be transformed over the years - ha, a goal of mine!).

We're back Ozway
Back from the States and alas, no news on the Grinch but we did have a wonderful time!
Started in San Francisco, on to Amador County wine country with my Aunt Sally & Uncle Jerry, down to Yosemite National Park, then on to drive down the Big Sur before overnighting in LA.
We flew across to Clearwater, Florida where we savoured all that a family Thanksgiving has to offer complete with smoked turkey and duck! Then finally over to Albuquerque, New Mexico before flying back to Sydney - a big fabulous trip!
